Frustrated About How Libyan Students Overseas Are Treated

Salam to all Libyans and to you Dr Ibrahim,

Well, I am so frustrated about our situation as Libyans and how we are suffering every day wheater in Libya or outside libya.

What I want to write about is a strange thing and I thught as Libyans we still help each other every where on this earh. But what made me sad and frustrated is how our Libyan brothers, who study overseas and getting scohlarships from the Libyan goverment or the ministry of education in libya, are treated by our embasseies around the world with some exceptions in some countries because I do not want to generalize this problem.

The problem is that the libyan diplomats or the Libyan employees in these embasseies are exercising and practicing thier power to make these Libyan students suffer and face alot of financial problems during their study overseas. The libyan diplomats who are in charge or the pecuniary supervisors for financial affairs for the Libyan students are not giving the Libyan students thier monthly payments on time and even they not support them and prevent them from getting thier money for the medical treatments or for the books. The reason is: no money, we do not have money still no money been transfered from Libya and the big excuse is that this because an order from Gaddaffi, means from up or as they said to make these Libyan students afraid is this ( MIN FAWK ) as we say in our respected language.

Why are they blaming Gadaffi for that I do not have idea? Is Gaddafi following the Libyan students every where to prevent them from getting thier scohlarships or what? This is a joke and if we can see how these people are corrupted and how much commissions they got when they buy anything for Libyas embasseies. This is really amazing, these people are in UK, JORDAN .. etc... with some exceptional for some countries. May Allah help these students. And please stop blaming Gaddaffi for that.

Wassalam

Ali Idris
