Where have you been?!

Elssalam Dr. Ighneiwa and thank you for posting my viewpoint.
Here is my thought on what I have been reading from your Web site
Ya Abou Isshaq [ Letters: 11 November, 1999 ]

The "patriotism" song is getting to be an old melody soon if not soon enough. I hear you.... and you sound just like another prelude...just another web site, pictures, firing off speeches, poems, and statements. Oh, the words are easy specially when you are so far away from Libya. Creating another opposition web site is only a show of an individual (you and a few others) , self centered principle, and the lacking of some responsibility, belonging and discipline. What's the point of just forming yet another opposition group? Couldn't you have found an opposition group that agree with your dogma and became a part of it. That just shows how we differ as Libyans toward one another.

Everyone of us has his own opinion and selfish agenda, sometimes we forget that we all seek the same thing. You say you do not want to attack Gadaffis' personality, but his actions. My friend: Where have you been? Gadaffi has been in power for more than 30 years and enjoying every single minute of it and could care less if you like him or not. But, I'm sure you know all that and I do not have to tell to you again I hope.

Instead .. tell me what are you going to do about it? How about writing another poem or ever better let us post a picture of someone who died for principles you and I couldn't dream about doing. Do not preach to me that you want to expose Gaddafi and his thugs for what they have done to Libya - we already know that. Why not look for solidarity with your Libyan friends and see if you can join an existing interest or social group. There are so many you can't shake a stick with out hitting one. Now, wouldn't that be better than each one of us creating a Web site reiterating the same junk over and over.

How can you be capable of functioning to face Gadaffi as an individual group without the support of all the Libyan people. Our first and most important conduct should be to reunite all libyan under one banner. You need to start with the city where you reside and work from there. We can't all be the lecturer, sometimes we just need to listen to each other.

Like my response to another Libyan site. I could care less if Gadaffi goes to Jahanamm or not. That is something out of my hand and I thank God for that. For now, I just want a way to get rid of him and see him gone. And, just to make sure I don't get misinterpreted I always have him going there in my prayer.

El-Zalitnie
