Assalamu Alaikum Ibrahim, With all due respect, I think you've made a rather poor judgement in censoring a word from my letter ( Qaddafi's E-mail, 6/3/200 ) since it's not a profane word. I'm not objecting to you censoring the letters you receive, but in this case you deemed the comment meaningless since the deleted word is actually the point intended by the letter. Also, you gave the reader the impression that the words may have been profane, which they were not. The latter is more upsetting. The better action should have been not to publish the letter. Obviously, you're not censoring the word itself. Which might mean that you're objecting to the joke (lighten up!). The joke is harmless and rather obvious. In any case, please inform you readers that the deleted words were not profane. If you want, you may post this letter. Thank you and best regards. Raheel Ma'mmar Faraj |
