An Open Letter To Mr. El-Qaddafi

Dear Mr. El-Qaddafi:

I am writing this letter in the hope that you, or aids close to you, will read this sincere letter. I am a Libyan who has lived abroad for many many years but never forget my identity as a Muslim or that I am a Libyan. I also have a dream that one day, in shaa Allah, I and my family will go back to Libya to live the rest of our lives with our relatives and beloved people.

I am sure that you and your aids have been watching the Zionists in Israel killing and murdering our brothers and sisters in Palestine day and night, left and right. They do so with absolute arrogance and they officially announced their government-sponsored campaigns of assassinations of palestinian men, women, and children to the entire world. I am not surprised that the U.S. supports Israel. This unconditional U.S. support rests on three main reasons. First, Israel to the U.S. is a strategic ally that shares with them most western ideologies. Second, Israel and the jewish lobby maintain a strong grip on American policymakers and most big corporations (banks, media, etc).

And thirdly, and this is the core of my letter to you, the muslim Ummah in general, and the Arab governments in particular, are doing absolutely NOTHING towards the Israeli aggression. If we, the muslim Arabs, are simply watching our people being slaughtered at the hands of the grandchildren of monkeys and pigs, it makes no sense for the U.S. or, for that matter, any other world powers (e.g.., European governments or the U.N.) to do any thing to protect muslims in Palestine.

I know that many Arab Heads of States are too weak or too coward to do anything. But I also know that you have portrayed yourself as a strong leader who aspires for many years to carry on his responsibilities toward liberating Al-Aqsa. NOW is the time to do something. Allah (SWT) is going to ask you about ALL what you have done with all the power and wealth that Allah has let you have over the past 30 years. In the remainder of your life, do something good and rush to the rescue of your muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine who are dying defending Al-Aqsa on behalf of 1.2 billion watching muslims. You know better than I what you can do, but allow me to propose four main actions:

(1) To order tens of thousands of Libyans in Benghazi and Tripoli to go out in huge demonstrations condemning the Israeli aggression and the American support of these aggressions. You should personally participate in these demonstrations and urge the Arab masses in other Arab countries to do the same and get out of their suspicious silence towards the massacres of our Palestinian brothers and sisters. This will set you apart from other so-called Arab leaders as a charismatic and courageous leader to follow, and you will gain popularity among tens of millions of Arabs. The U.S. will then realize that more than 100 million people are behind the Palestinians and their interests in the region are clearly threatened by the Israeli aggression which might compel them to intervene to stop it.

(2) Besides huge demonstrations, you need to get on the phone with other Arab leaders demanding that Arab countries should NOW use oil as a weapon to pressure the U.S. and other European countries. We should convince them that we and the Palestinians are one nation, and we will use whatever we have at our disposal to stop the Israeli aggression. Many Arab Heads of States either respect you or are afraid of you. NOW is the time to use whatever power you have to convince them of using oil as a weapon in our just struggle against Israeli occupation and aggression. Let me remind you that King Faisal of Saudi Arabia has remained in the minds of millions of muslims as a respected hero simply because he stood up above all and did use oil as a weapon against Israel. Let me also state that the world oil market is so sensitive to any oil supply interruption which makes even a threat to use the oil weapon so powerful!

(3) Your Palestinian brothers and sisters are in dire need for financial support. Provide them with all their needs and use all these hundreds of millions of dollars at your disposal to do something good with them. They need money, medical supplies, and other logistics.

(4) President Bashar Al-Asad of Syria appears genuinely enthusiastic in the struggle against Israel. He also has not signed any peace treaty with Israel. Coordinate with him to provide weapons and other military supplies to the Mujahideen in Palestine. It is really very sad that armless Palestinians are fighting one of the strongest armies in the world with rocks and shoes, yet we have huge arsenals of weapons that have thus far been used only against our own people!

Dear Mr. El-Qaddafi:

Allah (SWT) knows how sincere I am in writing to you. I also want Allah (SWT) to be my witness that I have reminded you of your obligations towards this Ummah and towards uplifting the suffering of its people. May Allah (SWT) bring victory to our sincere Mujahideen in Palestine, unite them against their enemies, and revive the Ummah so that it can stand up against aggression and the killings of innocent muslims.

Sincerely,

Abdel-Ghafour
A Libyan citizen
