I feel sorry for my country

Dear Dr. Ibrahim, "assalamu alaikum"

This is the first time for me to have the chance to read yuor page, I am really proud that we have some Libyan doing a good job like this . As a Libyan living in Libya, I am always looking to hear good news regarding the Libyans who live out side our country, but I was shocked when I read Mr. Elzwaari's letter. I felt sorry for my country which is expecting a lot from its overseas people who have been living for a long time overseas.

I always felt that it is good that we have overseas Libyans because they can always help our country with new ideas and technology, especially after the destruction of everything we had like health, education, armed forces and people's morality. Instead, I found Mr.Elzwaari's letter discussing matters that are mostly appealing to the uneducated and narrow minded masses.

In the era of advanced technology, internet communications and the idea of 'New World Order' I find Mr Elzwaari discussing matters like 'specific tribal differences' which is really insignificant to this century for people's progress.

I always felt that there is a light at the end of the tunnel but with the way of Mr.Elzwaari and people like him, I feel sometimes that there is no future for us and our country.

Best regards,

IBN ALJABAL
