I Always Publish In My Name

Ladies and Gentlemen

First of all I am really sorry that this is still going on because it is diverting from many interesting topics that can be discussed. I just want to confirm something to all of you and that is I ALWAYS PUBLISH IN MY NAME and do not use pseudonyms? I am not afraid of the Libyan dictator. What is it that he has not already done to us? He robbed years off our lives and forced thousands of us into a new Diaspora. Our families are living under awful conditions in our homeland. He deprived our children of their heritage, their language, and their relatives not to mention his theft and mismanagement and civil rights abuses that have set Libya back decades.

I would also like to inform you that I do not know Ali Errish, I have never met Ali Errish, nor do I intend to ever meet Ali Errish. Most important I never accused him of being anonymous. He can be whom he wants be for all I care and he can say what he wants to say, because it does not change much in who we are. We are what we are and we know it. From what I hear, the irony in all of this is the fact that Dr. Errish is experiencing the same dislocation that all of us in this Diaspora are experiencing. Why he has chosen to defend this regime is beyond my limited understanding? In my relation with the Middle East quarterly I always had the upper hand. I could have written if I had wanted to but I chose not to. I had the key in my hand. Dr. Errish is not so fortunate in his relationship with Mr. Qathafi. He chose to give the key to a dictator who does not think twice about using him like a rag to wipe his dirt and throwing him away. What is very apparent is that the regime does not respect him nor for that matter do any members of the revolutionary committees that serve the regime. I sincerely feel that it is a pity to waste as good a mind as Dr. Errishi's on such a worthless regime with its ignorant minions.

I try not to use foul language because I do not have much use for it. I can express myself well enough without resorting to it. I do know however that Qathafi's regime is irked at me for speaking my mind and has authorized Mr. Dorda to harnessed a host of so called "nationalists" and "revolutionaries" to counter anything I say. Unfortunately for them they will never succeed in their objective because their problem is not really with me but with trying to defend the indefensible ideology and policies of their master. Some of you like me know who they are. Ultimately, they are intellectually impotent and thus quite harmless because they have no legs to stand on. They found nothing on me because there is nothing to find on me, and thus they must resort to filthy personal attacks. I expected no less from this breed of Qathafi's imps. I know who I am but I am not sure they know who they are. I was true to my word and did not write on this issue since I told you I would not. They are trying to drag me into a silly confrontation with them but I will not give them the satisfaction and I will neither honor not give credence to their words. I will continue doing what my conscience tells me to do and all I can say to them is what my only master Allah (SWT) told me to say when I am confronted by the ignorant "SALAMAA." Stay in peace.

Mansour O. El-Kikhia, Ph.D.
