Is this possible?|
I was watching the Libyan satellite channel on 16/07/01 at 10.30pm UK time.
The programme was about social problems and complaints. The presenter of the
programme will answer a request from any city or town he will visit and talk
about their problems. This time was in a place called Kukas village, which is
about thirty kilometers south of ElKumes. There are very nice views to watch
and every thing is natural in that place. I was pleased to see these spectacle
views which reminded me about Libya and how beautiful is my country.
I carried on watching and 5 minutes later the reality and suffering of people who live there started to emerge. There was a female speaker who tried to describe the situation which involves women and children helping to get some water from a
well which is been used to supply 3000 human beings ??. She mentioned that
their daily routine is to get this water and use it for drinking, cleaning
and washing. There are no roads leading to this well as it is mountain area
and no one bother to cut through rocks and build a road. They use animals to
carry water back home. Then an old man who looks genuine and frustrated and
fed-up with every thing started telling horrifing stories about education
as people can not afford to send their children to secondary school and very
few can make it to universities. The final year of secondary school has to be
spent in nearest big city and parents can not afford to send their children
to these schools. He said there is only very old school with broken windows
and in very bad state. He said we have no roads and more than half of the houses
have not got electricity. He said our people died from snakes, scorpion bites
and women died during labour as we have not got a hospital or even a doctor
in the area.
Then the presenter asked another man about his income and how
he is managing his large family. People in this kind of area are peasants
and totally dependant on agriculture if there is good rainy session. The man
felt embarrassed as he was unable to answer one of questions by the presenter.
He asked the man "How you spend your money and your son not able to go and
finishes his third year at different secondary school". The man was struggling
to give an answer and he said "when I have money I spend it on family when I
have not I cannot do anything". Then he showed him the house, which is composed
of plain stones and one or two rooms has roof and the rest of the house is covered
by Zingo and wood. No electricity, no water and no carpet or concrete and
no furniture. The man said "I have been asking for the last year or so to get
electricity, water and loan to finish the house and nobody wanting to help".
It is very sad to see such family and many others struggling to live decent
life. Gadafi great Jamaharia, great leader, father of Africans, the great revolutionary, the great helper and names go on and on and on. What is happening to such Libyans in a very rich country is very disturbing. Gadafi uses Libyan wealth to promote and falsify his foolish ideas. He left many Libyans in rural and cities struggling and all pray to Allah to help them. They do not know that the leader is on Safari in Africa and spending millions and millions on hopeless nations, diseased crippled leaders in Africa and other countries. The great leader donated $100 million to Zimbabwe and same or more to Uganda, same to Sudan, and even the Marxist Belrous have a bite from the cake.
To Abu Mussaab, Fouad, Elberky, AlBaqqal, and to Abn Mummar; to all of you and to the great leader "is this possible what we saw on TV happening in great Jamaharia". I am really astonished and I cannot write more about this except to say "any one can help those struggling
real Libyans and support them and tell them the truth about what the leader
and his family doing with Libyan oil revenues". That what we are always aiming
from all Eltawerian and visitors to this page to tell the truth and facts. Is
this really possible .Ya ???????
God bless Libya and all Libyans
