In Support Of Hafed Al-Ghwell

Ladies and Gentlemen

I have just seen an anonymous post unjustly attacking my friend Hafed Al-Ghwell. I have no idea why his attacker opted to attack his father and him. Hafed is one of the most honorable people I know, which is much more than I can say about his attacker. Furthermore, no father who raises his son to be like Hafed can be any less honorable. He is a lawyer and lawyers must defend the innocent as well as the guilty. We should never hold them accountable for doing their jobs. Is his father involved with any revolutionary committee? Is he involved in any people's committee? Is he involved in harming anyone? Is he involved in making policy? What is Mr.Al-Ghwell involved in that leads to such an unprovoked attack? Who said that Hafed is the editor of the LNL and I ask his accuser, do you have proof of that or are you just blowing hot air? Moreover even if he were, which he is not, what wrong did he commit? You should be proud that the LNL keeps you informed with what is happening to your money, and what the Thieves of Sirte are doing with it not angry with him. Or is it because the attacker is angry with me that he is taking it out on one of the friends who supported me. Let me enlighten you, Hafed does not owe me anything and I owe him nothing but respect for him and his family. On more than one occasion he proved to me that he has the qualities that every decent individual wants in a friend. Look at your stupid argument. "He is the editor of the LNL because he knows someone who owns a 2 million dollar home in D.C." What kind of Logic is this? The new hamajia logic?

Hafed I want to remind you of something you once said to me, because it applies to you right now. You said: "a giant is always a giant even if he is walking in the lowest of valleys, and a midget is always a midget even if he is sitting on top of the highest mountain." You were referring to moral not physical attributes.

You are, my friend, a moral giant, whatever the circumstance. Your integrity, credibility, and decency, can only be questioned by those with hidden (personal or political) agendas. Stay in peace

Mansour El-Kikhia, Ph.D.
